Questions even Obama couldn’t answer

1 10 2008

Here is an E-Mail that I received today.  After I read it, I knew it just had to be posted for all to see.

Obama feels rural Americans cling to their religions over economic bitterness. I wonder what bitterness caused you to cling to Rev.
Wright?

Don’t you think it’s funny that Obama avoided town hall debates with Senator McCain, but at the same time Obama was not willing to postpone a debate in the midst of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression and put country first? Could this be because he is “gulity” of something?

Who recieved the most campaign contributions from Wall Street Obama or McCain for 2007 & 2008?

How can Obama criticize Senator McC ain’s time and record in Washington when Obamas’ running-mate has been there LONGER and he has a better track record of going against his own party? Obama voted with his Democratic colleagues 97% of the time even bothered to vote in his less than one full Senate term…

How can Obama possibly create jobs when he plan’s on raising business taxes?

That is to say, not even Obamas’ “Fight the Smears” website answered these questions, but that leads me to another: why is he hypocritically implying that the GOP and the Right are launching these attacks when most of them came from the Clinton campaign? Is Obama that afraid of losing support?

Why does Obama – the the 2 recipien t of Fannie & Freddie over the last 9 years who has only been in the Senate for just 3 years – offer sarcasm and not answers to the Wall Street plunge?

Why does Obama say he supports the 2nd Amendment. Yet didn’t sign Friend Of The Court Brief for the Supreme Court.
and why did he vote NO on letting people have guns in home for self defense?

How can Obama question John McCain‘s committment to capture and/or kill Osama Bin Laden? Where was Obama when he was voting to authorize the use of force in Afghanistan and working with this President to freeze terrorist assets at home and abroad???

Obama – He was a community organizer in Chicago – could ANYONE fr om Chicago please let us know what communities those were and how well those communities are doing? Also, what has Obama done in his past that gives him the right to say you’ll make a ‘change?’ – what POSITIVE changes has Obama brought about in past time that would makes us believe that he can actually make a POSITIVE change?

Because Obamas’ platform is built on “hope” and “change”, it is essential to bridge the gap between meaningless rhetoric and substantive truth if he expects to think individuals consider supporting him.
With this common sense knowledge, why is Obamas’ campaign failing to quantify, or define these me aningless rhetorical terms?

McCain has been on the senate for 21 years and served in the U.S. Navy.
What makes Obama a more qualified candidate than John McCain if he only has just three years in the Senate and no prior leader experience or have done anything significantly vocal in the Senate?

Why won’t Obama meet with Senator John McCain at a Town Hall format when he will meet with third world dictators without preconditions?

Does Obama know Thomas Jefferson said, ” a government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have” ?

How is that Obama says he will bring the soldiers home when all he will be doing is redeploying them to Afganistan?

Senator Obama speaks very highly of taking the lobbyists out of Washington, yet the political action committee that he operated, “The Hopefund”, has taken hundreds of millions from federal lobbyists during this campaign season alone. He said he wants the DNC to abstain from taking lobbyist money and yet they now have one of the biggest lobbyists in Colorado raising money for the convention. The Washington Post published a story saying he had over $600 million in corporate bundlers…hmmm.

A recent TV add asks Sen. McCain if “Baby Alex” would have to go to Iraq if he were elected.
My question to Obama is, how many “Baby Alexes” would we have to send to fix the mess in themiddle east if we take out our troops too soon and leave an unstable Iraq prone to constant violence and civil war, an iraq that is a breeding ground for terrorists or worse an Iraq that is a puppet regeme ofIran

Why does Obama pass judgment on McCain and our soldiers in Iraq, when he himself has refused to visit Iraq or speak with General Petraeus, all while stating that he would meet, without conditions, an evil man such as Ahmadinejad of Iran?

Why is Obama so nasty as to accuse McCain of being a flip-flopper for simply changing his mind about drilling oil, while he LIED by promising not to run his campaign by unlimited, private funds? What are a man’s morals like Obama if he will attack his opponent incorrectly, break a promise to voters, and hurt his opponent by gaining an UNFAIR advantage, so he can win office? How does he live with himself?

How can Obama honestly believe that he will do a better job leading America through a war than say, John McCain? Not only is he FAR less experienced in politics, but as shown by his socialist proposals, how does he plan to keep this country from crumbling to nothing? Is it all lies that Obama is saying only to get the support of blind people who can’t see through him so he can make it to office, and then royally screw America over?

Why does Obama not want to drill for oil in Anwar (I would rather pay $5.00 a gallon for AMERICAN oil than $5.00 for any oil that comes from any country that gives money to terrorist.)

I read today that Obama will “‘require’ employers to set up retirement savings plans.”Obama has a law degree. Surely he is aware you cannot “require” a company to do anything. If they CHOOSE to have a plan, you can “require” it contain certain elements.

Does Obama realize eloquent speeches to not resonate with most Americans? Wise Americans will take the time to look at his voting record..Do es Obama realize he is not running for a community organizer but a for a leader of a country with problems HE HAS NEVER never addressed? Dosen’t he realize that when he voted “present” most of the time.. it shows he didn’t want to play it safe for your his sake? Obama can fool some of the people some of the time..but not all of the people all of the time.

Obama keeps promising change. Change requires hard work.
Why is that his absent vote is 40,2% in the Senate and during the remaining votes he pressed ‘present’ over 130 times? Why is it that he hasent worked for change before? Can we expect any change in his attitude if he beco mes the president?

Obama is the most liberal senator in Washington, and nearly 1/3 of Clinton supporters say they won’t vote for him.
How can he possibly ‘unify’ America when even liberal people refuse to vote for him?

Why did Obama vote against funding our troops after promising not to use them as pawns in a war funding debate?

Why did Barack Obama give away less than 1% of his income prior to running for the US Senate? Does he really believe in helping people? I am 29 years old and probably make way less than Barack Obama during the years before running for Senate and I give significantly more but am labeled as one who does not want to help the poor. Why do words speak louder than actions sometimes?

“She’s bringing home the bacon”

1 03 2008

Have you ever heard women say, “I have rights too.”  Or, “I’m just as good as a man”?  These are very popular these days along with many others.  Women want to be just like men.  They aren’t happy with doing the things God created them to do.  They want to be the man of the family.

When did this start to happen?

The whole women’s rights concept started after World War 1.  This was because while the men were fighting, the women had to go and work in factories or stores to keep the family and the towns running.  After the war was over, many of the women like the freedom they had felt.  They liked the independence.  Groups started popping out everywhere for “Women’s rights!” and, “Freedom!”  At first most women looked down on these groups.  But the younger women liked the change.  As the years progressed and women’s thoughts changed, more and more women began to like the idea.  It only took another 25 years for women working to be normal.

Now look at what we have today.  The mother and the father go off and work everyday, sending the children off to an institution or child day care. We have increased debt because, the parents think they can buy more because of the 2 figure income. We have a society where the women working will respect their bosses, but have little to no regard for their husbands, and women would rather go out and work because it’s their ”right” than teach their children.

Women don’t understand that God didn’t create them to work and be the providers of the home.  He made the women to be a help meets to her husband.  To help their husband in what he is doing.  To teach and help raise the children.  To keep the house running and things moving together.  If you tell that to any women in the work force, they will think you are crazy.  They would much rather be the males of the house.

God created men to go out and be the providers for the family.  God created the woman out of man, for the man, and to be a keeper at the home.  Any other way goes against what God has made it to be, and in the end will make a home discontent.

The entertainment church

24 02 2008

Churches these days are mainly made up for entertainment.  Think about it.  Step into a modern day church and you see, “child care center”, “Sunday school”, ”youth ministry center”, and many others.  But what is the real thing that lies behind those signs?  “Put your kids in our day-care classes so your wife can go out and work”, “Dump your child off here because they can’t worship with you in the sanctuary”, “Here’s a good place where you can ship your teens off to go and hang with other non-believing teens”.

I may sound harsh, but that is how far our churches have fallen. If the kids aren’t entertained, then they won’t want to come to church.  And if they don’t want to come to church, then they don’t get the traffic for their church.

We got a letter a few days ago inviting us to attend a church that is in our area.  It was colorful, with big bold letters.  It had a children and teen center!  It had a women and men’s Bible study group!  It even had its own charter school and daycare center!!  But do you know the one thing it didn’t say anything about on there?  God.  A Christian church with out one word about God.

If we are going to get America back on its feet, then we need to start at the church.  This nation was built on solid Christian views, and now that we have let the world come in, we have slipped so far.  The church has become part of the world.

Please feel free to leave me any comments.

Modesty in fashion

22 02 2008

Most girls don’t understand when their parents tell them that they “can’t go out of the house in that thing!” They just think that their parents are, “Being to hard.” Or, “They just don’t want me to have attention.” But what attention are you getting when you walking around in almost nothing.  Of course you are going to have guys look at you.  Of course you are going to get attention.  But what kind of attention is it?  Is it the Godly attention that will glorify Christ?

They also don’t realize that guys think different than we do. Guys are more visual. And when girls go around in tight jeans and low shirts, they will look at you and treat you differently.

I’m not saying you have to wear a towel on your head, only wear skirts that go down to you ankle and lock yourself in a closet.  You can be “hip”, and in “the fad” with being modest at the same time. You just should set certain standards for yourself.

Also every person is different. Each person has different standers for themselves.  Some people don’t feel comfortable wearing skirts that come to their knees.  While others do.  Some people don’t think its right to wear pant.  While others have no problem with it.  Pick your own style and be unique.  Don’t be afraid to stand out and do what you think is cool.  Just make sure that you are always keeping the guys that watch you and God in mind.

Autism Linked to Vaccines

I thought this was very interesting.

Two Massachusetts Families Sue Vaccine Makers

Blame Preservative Added to Medication For Children’s Autism

By Alice Dembner, The Boston Globe

September 1, 2001 – The parents of three autistic Massachusetts children have filed a class-action lawsuit against the nation’s major vaccine manufacturers, putting the state at the forefront of a dispute over whether a widely used preservative in vaccines causes neurological disease.

The suit alleges the children “were poisoned with toxic mercury” contained in the preservative Thimerosal, which is used in a range of childhood vaccines including hepatitis B, Haemophilus B, and diphtheria/tetanus.

The complaint says as many as 500,000 children in Massachusetts may have been “unnecessarily exposed to dangerously high doses of toxic organic mercury” from 1990 through this year because of stepped-up vaccination campaigns.

The Massachusetts lawsuit is the second of at least 15 suits which a team of lawyers in Medford and Portland, Oregon are planning to file across the nation.  Altogether, lead attorney Robert Bonsignore said as many as 30 million American children may have been injected with vaccines containing Thimerosal in the last 10 years.

“No one can tell you what caused the autism,” said Michael Chmura of Waltham, father of 4-year-old Evan, who is one of the plaintiffs.  “But you find out you’re injecting poison into your kid’s bloodstream, the same poison they tell you not to give them via tuna fish.”

A spokesman for Aventis Pasteur, the lead company in the suit, said he couldn’t comment on pending litigation.

However, the Food and Drug Administration has maintained the vaccines were and are safe.  “Certainly mercury is not good for you, but at the concentrations that were present in the vaccines, there’s no indication that they were harmful,” said Dr. William Egan, deputy director of the vaccine office at the FDA.

But two years ago, amid growing public concern over possible health risks, the FDA, the Public Health Service, and the American Academy of Pediatrics began urging vaccine makers to phase out use of the preservative.  All of the recommended children’s vaccines are now available in versions which are either Thimerosal-free, or which contain only trace amounts.

However, doctors may still use those containing the preservative, and public health specialists say it is better for children to be inoculated with those vaccines than to go without protection.

Several studies are underway to examine the possible connection between the vaccines and autism, a neurological disorder that results in symptoms including extreme social withdrawal and repetitive behavior.  The suit, filed last month in Middlesex Superior Court in Cambridge, Massachusetts, alleges that seven vaccine manufacturers and five companies that produce Thimerosal failed to test the vaccines properly, and warn parents about the presence and risks of the additive.

It says the children were given doses that exceeded guidelines for exposure to other types of mercury set by the Environmental Protection Agency and the National Academy of Sciences.  There are no guidelines for exposure to ethyl mercury, the form contained in thimerosal.

Evan Chmura was diagnosed with autism at age 2-1/2, and his father points to the 15 vaccinations Evan had received since birth as the culprit.

Chmura said it was clear by age 2 that Evan was not developing normally.  “His speech was delayed, he didn’t want to play with other kids, he’d open and close doors repeatedly, and he wouldn’t respond when we called.  He’d get very upset if his routine was disturbed – he’d break into tears and throw a tantrum if anything in the yard was rearranged.  I’m not a scientist, but there’s something different in our environment that’s causing it,” he said.

In the suit, Bonsignore lays out the circumstantial case that has led some parents and doctors to believe that the vaccines can cause autism.  Neurological injuries in children, including autism, have soared in the last decade at the same time that a number of new vaccines were given to children at earlier ages.  Attention has focused on vaccines for hepatitis B and mumps, measles, and rubella.

Bonsignore says that the preservative was only needed in multi-dose vials of the drugs that he says the companies produced “solely to drive up their profits.”  Thimerosal prevents bacterial growth, and its addition to vaccines was approved by the FDA.

The second couple in the suit, Jared and Majorie Hansen of Framingham, have two children with autism:  Jacob, who is 3, and William, who is 2.  The children were vaccinated in Utah before the family moved here last year.  The suit seeks an unspecificed amount of money for medical care and special education for the ill children.  It also seeks damages for loss of future earnings and quality of life as well as punitive damages against the companies.  “The ultimate goal is to find out what can be done to bring these kids back as close to normal as possible,” said Bonsignore.

My Valentines

14 02 2008

Today we went to a valentines party that was organized through our homeschool group.  It was suppose to have older teens, but it mainly turned out to be 40 screaming little kids crammed in a space the size of my room. There were 2 other teenagers who looked like they really didn’t want to be there.  One of them just sat there and played his Nintendo until his mom told him to unplug himself.  Then he just sat there and made a fake Nintendo out of pip-cleaners.

It may sound like I a horrible time, and that’s what I thought at first.  I kept thinking how much I would rather be at a science class with my friends instead of trying to cram valentines in little boxes.  But then I realized that this life isn’t all about me.  I saw my brothers playing with other boys, and my mom talking with other moms.  So I just decided to enjoy myself as much as possible.

Some people don’t realize that life isn’t all about them.  That is why divorces, fights and many other things happen ever day.  People are born selfish, and if you don’t learn to over come that, then you will have a miserable life.

But…

good thing the valentines party was only an hour long. ;-)
